Back in the days, families knew families and so there was family honor and credibility. Knowing your partner was as easy as a man seeing his woman, and saying oh my she does it for me. Approaching the parents or people, and asking for their daughters hand in marriage.

People were raised with marriage values, so the couple was committed. Living with somebody that intimately there is gonna be some conflicts, thats just reality, but even when the thin came, they stood by their vows.

Now, families dont really know families so you have to take time to try and get to know the person. And when you start digging you are gonna naturally start to see some things you dont like, and unfortunately the grass isnt greener on the other side either, so another partner is just gonna have their issues. So any which way, you are gonna have to chose the one that meets your checklist the most and be willingly to love and accept the differences.

But, whats the solution in our era. Well there is an option of taking time to build friendships and or evaluating your current friendship list to identify potential husband or wives. Atleast you somewhat know the person. However, i think the best option is like in anything you desire success, seeking God. If He places it in your heart that this is a candidate and or your potential husband, be humble to that. Then the couple can move to courtship that may involve the pursuit, the foundation test, and or moving perhaps right straight into the proposal phase.

THE COMPATIBILITY TEST
Been struggling on where to draw the line between settling for less than i deserve and having too high standards. Created this cool simple GOV scorer. I scored 70% on it. Any man who scores above 75% is what i deserve.

Step 1: Meet GOV
A GOV is a man who meets atleast 1 of my 5 qualities.
Step 2: Probation period
Build friendship with GOV to see character. Looking for virtues such as relationship with God, living in purpose, leadership, love, how they handle life and challenges, financial stability etc.
Step 3: Score and allocate
After you are able to score the GOV against your qualities desired, allocate; social friend, peer friend or intimate friend. A man that scores less than your target will by default not qualify for the intimate friends category. He might have to stay in another category until his character later presents a higher score.
